Being diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease was not something I ever imagined when I retired. But when you get lemons ... So my purpose in joining this year's Walk for Parkinson organized by the Parkinson Association of Central Florida is to get further involved and get to know the PD community here in Orlando. The Walk will be held on Saturday, April 1 at Crane's Roost Park in Altamonte Springs. Proceeds from this event will contribute to continuing research into PD and help keep those of us dealing with its challenges well informed about the progress being made. I hope you consider joining the event, whether it's as a spectator, walker and/or a donor. I will be walking with Amy's Army led by the dauntless Amy Pempel.
