Welcome back to John Gabe's Gang 2024!!
Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you all healthy, happy, and well. This is Meredith Gabriel; I am acting as Gabe's gang team captain this year. The 10th Annual Walk for Parkinson's is Saturday, April 6th, at Crane's Roost Park in Altamonte Springs. This event is a beautiful day of connection, movement, and fundraising day for Parkinson's disease research and Parkinson's community support. As most all of you know, the cause of Parkinson's is very personal in the Gabriel family, as our father, John Gabriel, was diagnosed over 16 years ago.
Though strides have been made in research for a cure and best practices for care, the continuation of this relies on the generosity of people like you. An estimated 20,000 people throughout central Florida are living with Parkinson's disease. It is one of the fastest-growing neurological disorders, second to Alzheimer's disease. Every six minutes, somebody is diagnosed with Parkinson's. A difference can be made, and we are not just talking about money. We are so grateful to have you in our corner, energetically, every step of the way. This year's walk is dedicated to the late Dr. Rita Bornstein, who passed away earlier this year after living many years with Parkinson's disease.
We would love to have you on our Gabe gang team and to support this cause in a way that feels aligned with you. This page offers opportunities to donate and get involved.
Thank you for your time; we are grateful to you.
Best regards,
Meredith Gabriel
