Your health and safety are our top priorities. We will continue to closely monitor CDC, state and local guidelines to ensure Walk events adhere to the latest recommendations.

Walk for Parkinson

April is Parkinson's Awareness month. The Walk for Parkinson is more than just a Walk. It highlights movement and exercise as a symbol of hope and progress in finding a cure for Parkinson's disease. Our annual fundraiser raises awareness and funds for our local community programs, and research to find a cure.

Studies show that movement is a beneficial and proven to help manage the symptoms of Parkinson's disease, improving flexibility and mobility. Our aim is to encourage people to stay active and "move" for a better health. Whether you take part on a team or join as an individual, you'll get a chance to move with hundreds of supporters who share a common goal to help beat Parkinson's.

Your Support Enhances Lives

Your donations to and fundraising efforts for the Walk for Parkinson provides the programs and services to those living with Parkinson’s, their care partners and families in Central Florida. With your support and dedication to meeting your fundraising goals, we can provide the best care possible for those with Parkinson's and their loved ones.

Event Specifics
Will there be COVID-19 safety measures in place at Walk?
The health and safety of our participants, staff and volunteers are our top priorities. The Walk is designed with this in mind including a venue layout that allows for physical distancing and hand sanitizer stations. PACF will continue to closely monitor Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state and local guidelines and make adjustments to our event-day safety protocols as needed.

Are pets, strollers, bicycles and skates allowed on Walk day?
We do allow strollers, but for everyone's safety, we discourage skateboards, bicycles, inline skates and wheelie footwear. While we all love our fur-babies, pets are not allowed in the event area of Cranes Roost. Service Animals are an exception!

What happens if it rains?
Walk is a rain or shine event. However, in the case of severe weather, we will cancel. If this is the case, we will update our Walk homepage on or before the morning of the event.

We need volunteers! Know anyone who might be interested in helping us on the day of the event?
We need volunteers to help with set-up, clean-up, registration, water stops and so much more. All interested volunteers should contact the PACF office at 321-348-7223 or email cbennett@parkinsoncf.org
